View host, Palin campaign participant, former reality show contestant, and feminist icon Elisabeth Hasselbeck addressed reports that the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church in Chicago, referred to “that dumb broad on The View’ ”, in a sermon last Sunday. Ms Hasselbeck has characterized the comments as “sexist” and “archaic”, adding that she was not a “dizzy blonde”, as she is not a natural blonde, or something.
Ms. Hasselbeck, who compared the Reverend Wright to
Jeffrey Dahmer last March, claims—in Palinesque, difficult to quote in a sentence, ugh, ungrammatical language– that his recent comments vindicate her: “By choosing those words, in my opinion, pretty much proves my points I’ve been making about him”. And all the other heinous, crappy dog-whistle things she said about anybody, ever, because logic and rhetoric teach us that once you are called a “dumb broad”, you will be proven correct, ex post facto, about everything; furthermore, people who call women (who can’t clap on the backbeat, maybe) “broads” are just like Jeffrey Dahmer eating peanut butter, the end.
